In the August 2017 issue of Guitar Player<\/em>, musician and GP<\/em> contributor Jimmy Leslie put BOSS\u2019s Acoustic Singer Pro to the test for the magazine\u2019s Frets<\/em> acoustic section. Jimmy praised the amp\u2019s \u201csmooth and silky\u201d sound, versatile two-channel design, and useful onboard features for solo performers. Offering rich, natural sound and a wealth of onboard creative features, BOSS\u2019s Acoustic Singer amps have become favorites of both singing guitarists and solo instrumentalists. They feature independent channels for acoustic guitar and vocal, and each channel includes three-band EQ, reverb, and more.<\/p>\n

The guitar channel is equipped with\u00a0Acoustic Resonance processing and two types of chorus effects, while the vocal channel has\u00a0selectable phantom power and a lush delay\/echo effect optimized for voice. There\u2019s also a vocal harmony function derived from the popular VE-8<\/a> Acoustic Singer pedal, and an onboard looper for creating on-the-spot backing with vocals and guitar.<\/p>\n

Two models are offered in the series, and each has been carefully tuned for pro-level audio performance on stage. The Acoustic Singer Pro<\/a> is equipped with an 8-inch speaker, dome tweeter, and 120 watts of power, while the Acoustic Singer Live<\/a> is equipped with a 6.5-inch speaker, dome tweeter, and 60 watts of power.
