Cut Through the Noise

The NS-2 Noise Suppressor elevates your stage and studio rig with a cleaner and more polished signal. This essential utility pedal solves the common noise problems encountered with electric guitars and basses while preserving your instrument’s dynamics and character. Sensitive analog circuitry silences noise in a smooth and organic way, eliminating the choppy artifacts produced by conventional noise gates. The innovative send/return loop provides isolated detection for high-gain pedals, ensuring optimum noise reduction throughout your signal chain.

Liberate Your Tone

Noise is an unavoidable issue for electric guitar and bass players. The NS-2 tackles everything from interference caused by lighting and power supplies to more substantial noise associated with high-gain pedals. Cleaning up the signal between notes produces a tight and professional sound, helping you deliver dynamic and impactful performances without distracting hums and buzzes.

NS-2

Organic Noise Reduction

The NS-2 features an advanced VCA and high-speed envelope-detecting circuits that suppress noise while retaining your instrument’s natural playing feel and note decay. When using overdrives, distortions, and other pedals that produce a lot of noise, the best results are achieved by inserting them in the NS-2’s send/return loop. This allows the circuitry to continually detect the input signal while suppressing noise from the pedals in the loop, ensuring seamless noise reduction as you turn them on and off.

Threshold—Determines the level at which noise suppression begins. Start with the knob at the lowest setting and turn it clockwise until the noise disappears.

Decay—Adjusts how long it takes for the sound to fade to silence after the input drops below the threshold. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the decay time for the most natural sound.

Versatile Functionality

Use Reduction mode if you want to turn the noise suppression on and off with the pedal switch as you play. Or engage Mute mode to toggle between noise suppression and silencing the signal for tuning, instrument changes, and performance breaks. When powering the NS-2 with an optional PSA-series adaptor, the handy DC output jack lets you use a PCS-20A parallel cable to distribute power to other pedals on your board.
